I was going about my business, reading through my brother's shared items on my Google Reader (I'm pretty sure if either of us uses one more Google product we'll become like unofficial Google spokespeople or something) this morning when I came across something pretty cool.
One of the articles he shared was
this one from mental_floss, about a new, rather incredible, invention that will provide clean drinking water to impoverished areas. Called the
LifeStraw, it somehow manages to filter out all the bad stuff in local water, making it drinkable and safe
Pretty cool, huh? It's $3 to donate one, $15 for a family. Really, it blows my mind that there are inventions like this and at such a low price to us who consider $3 cheap for a cup of coffee or a sandwich. We're donating.
I think I should say pretty one more time. What do you think? Pretty.
