Lent has officially begun.
I just finished watching Sydney White and it's not exactly a movie that requires much brain activity...but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's sad but true. I can't help myself. Amanda Bynes movies just have a way of luring me in. There's something about her that causes me to root for her, even in Robots! Amanda Bynes movies (except for Big Fat Liar with Frankie Muniz because I haven't watched it) are my guilty pleasures. I usually don't like teeny bopper flicks with overly predictable lines but Amanda Bynes stuff cracks me up.
Mock me if you will, but that won't change the fact that I've probably watched She's the Man about 6 or 40 times!
Now that I've officially discredited myself as an avid film watcher with decent taste, I'd like to recommend a movie: But I'm a Cheerleader. It's a gay-ole time! It's about this cheerleader whose family and friends accuse her of being gay and send her away to a rehabilitation camp. Basically, it's a criticism of gender roles. The movie is hilarious and has a sweet soundtrack. And chicks kissing each other. *wink* Check it out!
