Back from hiatus

It's been quite a long time, but I'm back for an end-of-the-year post!

Things this year have been trying.  I don't want to get into it at this time, since it's still hard for me to sit and write about.  Perhaps someday I will, but for now all you need to know is this: my avatar for this post indicates what happened.

Anyway, things are getting better now.  I'm able to work out again, which is darn good because I gained weight due to some of the medications that I was taking.  So I started, for the 2nd time this year, to do P90x (day 14, baby!) and it's been great so far.  Well, great as in achy and sore, but I'm dropping weight and I'm feeling better about myself!  I made it to day 75 the first time before circumstances forced me to stop, and I'm hoping to make it the full 90 days this round.

To keep myself honest, I thought I might include a tracker, much like the countdown to the Disney Marathon that I had a few years ago.  I'm posting it here and at the top of my page. The starting weight recorded is what I weighed when I started the workout program.  The hope is that this will be another motivator for me, because the graphical presentation shows me how far I've gotten and how much I need to go.

I'm also planning to write more often.  You have been warned.  :-D
