Etiquette Question

I have an etiquette question for you my wise and wonderful flist. It has to do with cross-posting. As I understand it x-posting means you publish a story or journal entry to several communities at one time. Personally, I don't cross-post much, because I don't want to look desperate for feedback. Although *shhh,* I actually am.
(I tend to just post in xmmff because I figure a lot of people read it, and to oldfriend because sometimes I'm afraid no one wants to read Charles/Erik unless they're a member of the community.)

I don't know the etiquitte, but as a reader, I don't have a problem when other people cross-post. You raise a good point -- if they're members of all those communities, they deserve it!

Omigod, I just uploaded thirty graphic Charles/Erik porn stories to that random person's journal and it's all your fault. No, wait. I didn't do that.

Ooh, good point about not seeming desperate for feedback, because I'm not. Really. *eyeshift* I wouldn't want people to think I was. Actually, I may have exaggerated a bit when I said seventeen. I think my max is four, but four does seem a bit shameless. My average is more like two, so I'm glad that seems reasonable.
