I don't feel like I slept a wink last night, but oddly enough I'm very awake right now. Thankfully today I don't have a very heavy schedule; my two 'intense' classes are tomorrow.
I found out that another IMSA grad, Kate Breckenridge (sp?) is in my EALC 135 class. I didn't think I'd know anyone in that class, but I sat down right next to her without even noticing. We got to talk all period because the teacher let us have a day to 'get to know our neighbors' (w00t 100-level courses) and it turns out she's in international studies. Pretty cool. So, that makes four out of five classes that I'm in that I know someone in. That's actually never happened before. Not even close! Perks of being on the tail end of your college career I guess.
My classes this semester are for the most part awesome, with the exception of The Ocean, which is a football player blowoff class, as expected. That's fine. I'm in enough challenging courses that I can justify a blowoff class to get my physical science gen ed.
As for Japan next month, I'm just waiting on the OK from my Japanese teacher, who has to consult the department head. She was out of town last week, but hopefully I should know soon and we can go ahead and buy the ticket. Assuming we can find someone with a credit card (without a spending limit of less than $900) to actually purchase the thing for us. :/
Other than that, I had a pretty uneventful weekend. Did some quality vegetating in front of Buffy season five, and even got some homework done too. And I've been working on a custom mood icon set for my journal from Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga sprites. I got the idea when I first saw the game, which is enormously cute. It's not quite done yet, though (making custom mood icon sets is teh tedious).
Now I'm off to get ready for teh class and bum Kenny's keys off of him for the day. Yes, I lost mine. Yes, I haven't gotten new ones yet. It's the landlord's fault, I swear!
