so I finally saw The Amazing Spider-Man
First of all, loved it. But. I noticed something.
Xenophilius Lovegood and Harry Potter. Curt Connors and Peter Parker.
Clearly I have a severe thing for Rhys Ifans' characters getting creepy fixations on brown-and-messy-haired, bespectacled, special snowflakey teenaged protagonists named _ _ _ _ _ P_ _ _er who live with their aunt and uncle 'cause their parents died for big evil reasons ("MY PARENTS ARE DEEEEEEEEEAD").
Also, just wanted to mention that Peter built a web in the Chamber of Secrets (which he found after following the spiderslizards), the Lizard totes entered the school through Moaning Myrtle's bathroom, "Poor Peter Parker" sounded a lot like Voldy creeping on Harry's name (and was gloriously alliterative), and clearly Connors was talking to the Basilisk. Also, the whole movie was obviously a cautionary tale about Animagi.
And Connors is Sirius. Just saying.
