1. Valentine's Day presents. So.
I gave Mr. Annearchy a little box of chocolates. A CHEAP little box of chocolates.
He gave me a printer.
*facepalm*
Okay, he didn't buy it specifically for me. He bought it last summer as a backup to the printer he'd got downstairs in the business office. I guess the regular printer is doing okay if he was willing to give this one up. I also guess he got tired of me begging him to print things for him, since my computer isn't networked to his printer. Anyway, he had to buy a couple of cables for the new printer, and he got the last one today and set the printer up right after dinner. I had NO idea what was going on (he and DD kept me in the dark) so I had to stay out in the living room, reading CAUSE OF DEATH by Patricia Cornwell, while they got the thing set up. I haven't used it yet but DD has. She made black-and-white Valentine's for her school friends while Mr. Annearchy and I watched X-2 after dinner.
2. Speaking of X-2, I have watched a lot of movies the last 4 months, mostly thanks to Netflix. This includes, from most recent to oldest: Mr. Bean's Holiday, Syriana, Stargate: Ark of Truth, Love Actually, Rest Stop, X-Men, Moulin Rouge, Jackass Season 1 (vols. 1-3), Spirited Away, Traffic: The Miniseries, Juno, Thank You for Smoking, The Crow, Adaptation, War of the Worlds, SiCKO, Edward Scissorhands, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and The Bucket List. Ironically I am the only person in our family who has watched ALL of these movies. Mr. Annearchy and DD have very different tastes in movies, so I usually watch something with her or him, but not both together. Sigh. So much for family movie night.
3. Gah, Cookfans, this is wrong. I'm watching SNL and the Jonas Brothers (bah) get to be in skits (more than one!) and not just as the musical guests. SNL missed a great chance in November, y'know? DC has some great comic timing. Oh well.
