Weekend wrapup

May 19, 2008 07:05

1. Saturday was mostly normal stuff like grocery shopping, but DD had an overnight at church. I probably should not have let her spend the night, but she was desperate to hang out and be with her friends, which she hasn't had much opportunity for the past 8 weeks. Instead of just dropping her off, I stayed for "dinner" (sandwiches) and went with the group on a little hike through the nearby arboretum. Then I came home and did some RPing. Yay for road_ahead:)

2. Sunday was sort of overstuffed. I had choir practice at 9, so I left home about 8:45. Between choir practice, the service and going out to lunch with DD afterward, I didn't get home until about 12:45. Then I had to leave again at 3:15 because we had a big choir practice before the memorial service for my friend Rachel S. (an elderly woman who died in January). The service itself lasted TWO FULL HOURS! But it was really good -and the choir absolutely ROCKED "How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling Place" from the Brahms Requiem. There was a potluck after so I didn't get home until 8:15. So I guess I spent more than 8 hours on church related stuff yesterday o_O

3. WTF, weather?? It's May 19. Please to NOT be 36F. Riddikulus. IMO the Pacific Northwest has sucked all the warmth out of the Midwest.

Have a good day, everyone, and hugs to all who need them.
