Almost-last-minute decorations

Somehow we managed NOT to buy a pumpkin this year:( I guess October was too warm, or we got too busy, but somehow we never found one so we never carved one. So suddenly today Darling Daughter said OMG Mom, we need to MAKE some decorations. We spent some time before dinner making tiny ghosts out of Kleenex and paper napkins and stringing them up ( Read more... )

Those are cute last minute ideas! I thought about big eyes on the house but figured that I'm going to pass on decorating the outside this year since we have no road out front (and for most of today, I had no driveway) so I doubt we'll have any trick-or-treaters this year. Unless their parents have off road vehicles or are willing to ruin their car's suspension or their shoes by walking here.

Eh, I'm pretty sure almost nobody saw our decorations. I would be surprised if 20 kids came to the door last night :(

Fun, fun, fun. Last minute isn't so bad. We still need to carve the pumpkin sitting in our sink.

Nice decorations :)

It reminded me of my Halloween in Canada, it was the first time I saw REAL Halloween celebrations, with decorations and trick-or-treating. I even carved a pumpkin in my language school (we held a contest), I didn't know it was SO difficult... and gross :P heh.
