1. Dunno how it got to be almost 11:00 p.m. *headdesk* Another wildly busy day, both work and personal. At least my part of the "Clean Air Month" project is finished so I can move on to the other 25738 things I'm supposed to do before next week.
2. Home was less successful than work. Maya has weekly spelling words to work on and must turn in the assignment each Friday. She brought the words home last Friday and put them down somewhere. We never saw them again. She had math homework tonight and managed to get that done (though we had some loud words with her before we finally left the dining room and told her to finish her math on her own, since we were tired of her goofing off and not really working on her math). She couldn't find the spelling so I told her to get ready for bed (by then it was after 8:00 p.m.) I'll have to write a note to her teacher in the morning to say that Maya lost her spelling homework. Maya will have to take her weekly spelling test without knowing any of the words on it. I told Maya she'll have to do ALL her late spelling homework this weekend and she can't play with any friends until the spelling is complete. At least we have NO social engagements this weekend. No travel, no church overnights, nothing except dinner out on Saturday night.
3. Gotta love David Letterman's mom. "Top 10 reasons I love being Dave's mom. #2 - The crisp $10 bill I get for my birthday." Then Dave goes out and gives her a dozen red roses. We're watching Letterman tonight. I love his snark, and I couldn't stand the thought of watching Tom Cruise on Leno :-O
4. Well
this just about says it all. Exactly how I would grade him too.
5. I've been doing some thinking about Point of View in fiction but I'm too tired to write about it now. Maybe tomorrow. Hold that thought.
