Must be an epidemic or something
1. I'm starting to think there's something in the water, or some kind of negative aura involved...Since my mother died on January 15th, at least 4 other co-workers have lost a parent or parent-in-law...and three of those happened in the past 2 weeks. Today I signed 2 sympathy cards and spoke with one fellow whose mother-in-law died last weekend. So although the weather wasn't particularly bad, it was a tough winter around here, at least for people I know.
2. So Kevin got kicked off American Idol last night. About freakin' time. I couldn't believe he made it past the first round. As someone else told me, he must have had the votes of all grannies and 12-year-old girls.
3. Has anyone tried VAULT soda/energy drink? Because the guy on the radio commercial sounds like OMG HE'S ON SPEED OR SOMETHIGN SFLKS:KJaj;!! Seriously, just how much caffeine is in that stuff? It's sold in the coffee shop here; I guess I'll have to read the label.
4. Maya is home sick AGAIN today. She seemed a lot better last night but this morning, when she got up, she was coughing badly and had a sore throat. When I left for work at 8:00 a.m., I didn't know if she would be going to school today; I relied on Mr. Annearchy to make that decision. I guess he decided not to send her. He gets her out of the house in the morning; I pick her up in the afternoon. She hasn't been to afterschool since last Friday, when we paid $28 for one day of "day camp" while she was on spring break. I don't understand why she gets sick so much; maybe it's due to her asthma, which had seemed to be under control...Mreh.
5. Well, back to fighting with a piece of software that's supposed to read broken links on our website, but which seems to think that most of the links are broken (which I know isn't true). Mreh.
