1. All my Christmas presents are now wrapped and under the tree. Can you hear my sigh of relief? :D How are y'all doing with Christmas (etc.) presents? Anybody going to be running around on Christmas eve trying to find that last gift?
2. Here are some scientific oddities from 2005. This one is my personal favorite: The guardians of animal nomenclature had mixed feelings over a proposal to name three newly-discovered species of slime-mould beetle after US President George W. Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. A pair of insect experts reserved the names Agathidium bushi, Agathidium cheneyi and Agathidium rumsfeldi for their latest creepy-crawlies. Yeah, seems apropriate.
3. Cinematical.com reports on the possibility, eventually, of a Harry Potter theme park. Think of the possibilities there... Not sure I'd want to travel trough "Harry and Dumbledore fight off the Inferi" but other things might be fun. What kinds of "attractions" would you include in a HP theme park? Where should it be located (other than, say, Scotland)?
