1. We got the urge to put up our (fake) Christmas tree tonight. Maya and I cleaned up The Usual Spot in the living room while Mr. Annearchy was off at the post office before dinner. After dinner, we started around 7:00 and had the whole thing up and decorated by 8:30. It looks pretty. Too bad I don't have a digital camera or I'd post a photo :( Yaay. We have a tree. Nothing UNDER the tree (and at the rate things are going, there will be nothing under the tree until Christmas Eve). But we have a tree.
2. I thought Maya was getting better (she stayed home from school AGAIN today). But by bedtime she was totally stuffed up and had a worse cough. So I don't know, maybe she'll go to school tomorrow, maybe not. It's only early December and she's missed at least 10 days of school already. I'm waiting for the school to send us a note asking why she misses so much school. Um, because she's been sick a lot? *headdesk*
3. I hope I'm not getting what Maya has. If so, I might have to Christmas shop online this year. That would certainly be easier on my feet, but I kind of miss the tactile satisfaction of handling the merchandise when I buy it. I'm very tactile (also known as "K (kinesthetic) at the front" if you're familiar with that term). If I'm feeling well enough on Friday, I'll take the afternoon off and try to get some shopping done.
4. Okay, no more LJ for me tonight. I have to write at least one letter before bedtime. Arrrgh. I hate this time of year. I mean, I like the Christmas trees and the lights and even the snow. But I hate all the other stuff that goes along with it. Which makes me feel stupid and sucky. Because everyone is supposed to love all this crap, right? Arrrgh.
