It's a rhyme of the times: A pointed little ditty for our fridge-filled city by Chris Rose of the New Orleans Times-Picayune. My sister Ellen found several fridges on her tiny property on Henry Clay :-O
I'm glad it's finally Halloween tomorrow. I'll be taking Maya around, trick or treating, while Mr. Annearchy stays at home and hands out candy at the front door. We've got 3 carved pumpkins on the front porch; we'll put some little tea-candles in them tomorrow evening. Maya will be a cheerleader in a dark red and gold outfit from Target. I will be going as myself; that's scary enough :D
I'm rather unhappy that the annual Halloween celebration here has, once again, been
marred by violence. I don't understand why a small group idiots have to ruin things every freaking year for 100,000 people. It's ridiculous. Of course maybe I'm too old to appreciate this annual debauchery, but when some jackass young man dressed as a Holstein cow walks down the street shouting "We want pepper spray!" - well, you have to wonder if he has any brain cells *rolls eyes*
Speaking of Halloween, I don't want to be totally remiss about birthdays:
Happy birthday,
rachet!!!
I hope your birthday (today) was as fantastic as you are.
Happy birthday,
dreamcoat_mom!!!
It's been fun getting to know you this year. Hope your birthday (Monday) is fabulous and that we get to see each other again in the not too distant future.
