I'm curious about the new Oliver movie. But the story itself upsets me. I don't like to watch Nancy get beaten. Even if things go okay, as they do, Nancy always weighs heavily in my mind. Sigh.

That story about the buried twins is so amazing. I love that so long ago with so little available to them, people still treated their child dead so respectably. You can almost feel for the parents over all the years between us.

Polanski is a child rapist. Decades back he gave drugs to a 13 yr old during or after a party and got her consent to have sex. He was tried and convicted in CA, but while on bail skipped the country and fled to France where he's remained as a refugee from the law. France won't extradite him because their national age of consent is 12, so in their eyes if she said yes he did nothing wrong.
