That story about the buried twins is so amazing. I love that so long ago with so little available to them, people still treated their child dead so respectably. You can almost feel for the parents over all the years between us.

Creepy, though, about that child rapist doing Oliver Twist. That's like an awful joke.

Polanski is a child rapist. Decades back he gave drugs to a 13 yr old during or after a party and got her consent to have sex. He was tried and convicted in CA, but while on bail skipped the country and fled to France where he's remained as a refugee from the law. France won't extradite him because their national age of consent is 12, so in their eyes if she said yes he did nothing wrong. He claimed he was just seeking solace with her after the recent death of his wife. (The Manson murders

Ohhh Polanski. I was thinking there was a child rapist in the novel Oliver Twist. I would have remembered that.

Oh, sorry about that! I'm getting less and less clear in my replies and posts I've noticed in the last week! I wonder if I'm getting the same way when I speak, or am I just linguistically neurotic?

I liked the picture of the key you got, by the way. My brother had a collection of antique keys when we were little, and they cleaned up nice and pretty like that one when he restored them.
