yeah right

Rather often, you will find that liberals/progressives/leftists of a more mainstream type will press each other to "find common ground" and "compromise" with the right, otherwise, they say, we won't get anything done. Meanwhile, said right does what, well, said right does without a worry in their head about what the left wants, or a twinge of guilt, and apparently rather often with outright animosity and intent to harm liberals.

It's a real turnoff being told to work with these people, and unfortunately a lot of the Coffee Party stuff I'm seeing consists of proposals to work with the Tea Party. Howsabout we go about our business without worrying about what they want? Same for the Reproductive Justice group at my church which was talking about how we need to work with "pro-lifers." Well, good luck with that, since we advocate for sex education and birth control and they don't. Do you think they spend a hot minute thinking about how they can work with "baby-killers"?

Here's yet another example that pretty much speaks for itself of why it's ludicrous to propose any sort of compromise with anti-choicers. (Possibly triggering)

politics, feminism, abortion
