I saw the French film, "My Best Friend," the other day. Loved it. I thought it was especially interesting because the writer used a somewhat traditional romantic comedy approach to tell a story about friendship. The basic plot revolves around a shmuck art dealer who realizes he has no true friends. His business partner makes a bet that he can't introduce his best friend to her within 10 days. The art dealer meets a cab driver who gives him a series of "friend lessons" and the story evolves from there.
Clever, funny, and cute all the way around. Worth seeing if it's playing in your area.
