we have a new family member! kathryn & my sister's partner have birth his morning to a girl. no name yet. everybody is fine. we are chuffed! henry is under the impression that his cousin will grow up to be his sister - i'm not sure if he's told anyone he had a sister coming - i didn't notice any *particular* looks at my belly.

Henry's in the tub, laundry's in the washer, my mother's in bed, Jason's on the road, and the moon is up. We seem to have successfully negotiated Henry's 5th birthday party today, two days in advance of the occasion (which will be celebrated at daycare by shooting balloons and decorating gingerbread people).
