This morning, in the front yard:
Henry ran up to our big maple tree, telling me it was ours. Then,
"Hello! Mommy, it's an ant!"
He watched and talked to the ant for a while, then it was time to go.
"Hello goodbye, Ant! I love you! I'll be your friend every week!"
"You'll be his friend every week?"
"Yeah, every time I see an ant, I'll think of him."
(As remembered by me, and confirmed by Henry, who looks dashing today in a pink shirt, red sunglasses, and green camouflage pants. He has brought three Webkinz to breakfast: a gorilla, an elephant, and a monkey dressed in a witch's costume, formerly worn by the elephant, as he has been explaining.)
