(no subject)
The studio is so very close to being finished. I think I've bought everything now after some late night shopping for pot plants, a blind (which may or may not fit, we'll see. Spotlight assured me it will but I'm dubious) and a protective rug* under the desk chair.
Pin-up boards are painted* and I've got twine and mini-pegs to display postcards in a nicer way than blu-taccing them to the side of book cases as I've always done.
Just need to install everything now, most notably the shelving and pin-up boards which require drilling. NEARLY THERE! Pot the plants properly in their shiny pots* over the weekend and sit them on the windowsill. Rug is already installed, so fluffy ♥
I also looked at beds. I've determined that I need warm-coloured wood, not the sort of white-washed looking pastelly stuff. Guys, never chuck out your paint swatches. Mine are permanently in my handbag for just such purposes.
AND. THERE ARE NO MORE BOXES IN THE GARAGE. ALMOST. The boxes from the three desks are still there, they're massive but very flat, so I reckon I can fit them all in one bin next week. BUT THAT'S IT. Oh god it's taken ages. Then I can try and get rid of the dresser that's been sitting in there, try selling that on Gumtree, book a hard rubbish collection for the built-in wardrobe that I ripped out way back on day one aND PARK THE CAR IN THE GARAGE omg it will be glorious.
