Making a list...

Travis is the coolest person, and so in stealing an idea that he stole from someone else, I hereby encourage everyone to pass along this fun idea.

"Pluses and Minuses"

+ Went snowboarding (49%) and falling on my ass (51%) today for the first time! I've been afraid of boardin', because I've heard time and time again, "once you go boardin' you never go back", and I do like skiing very much thank you. It was a beautiful day with beautiful new powder and beautiful friends and beautiful times. SO MUCH FUN. I think I'll go snowboarding again once my ass heals.
+ Warm showers and cold beer (concurrently) post-snowboarding.
+ I talked to my sister probably five times on the phone over the last two days.
+ Kicking' ass studying for the GRE. I've read through the huge book twice now, made lots of flashcards, am practicing latin and long silly English words... I'll take my first practice exam in two weeks. Doomsday: March 28th.
+ We bought luggage for Ireland. Talked to them on the phone on Wednesday (accents= awesome!)We find out about booking plane tickets next week! NEXT WEEK, finally!
+ It's almost St. Patrick's day! Almost, almost, almost... I LOVE GREEN BEER!!!
+ Cut my work hours down at MMR. I find I love my job more if it doesn't eat my life.
+ Have made the "official" Grad school list WOHOO!!!
Here goes, in order of preference...
1. Colorado State University (Fort Collins)
2. University of Montana (Missoula, Montana)
3. University of Tennessee (Knoxville)
4. Florida State University (Tallahassee)
5. North Carolina (Raleigh)
6. University of Georgia (Athens)
7. University of California in San Jose
So pretty much all over the place. Except Michigan :o) I'm really serious about the top four.

And... negatives...
- Adam and I don't see each other very much since we're both occupied doing our own things. Is it strange to miss your live-in boyfriend?
- My mom and I are disagreeing again. I need to grow up and grow some balls. Seeing how I'm female, maybe I'll just work harder on the first one.
- Even though I'm making it to the gym often, I'm lacking motivation for this half-marathon in May. Not only am I having trouble finding one that's not in oh, Kentucky, but with every dreadfully boring run on a treadmill or around and around the gerbil wheel of the elevated track, I just... lose focus of why in the hell I would care to jog 13.1 miles in a row anyway. I miss jogging outside so much. We'll see how this saga goes.
- My bum hurts.

That's all, the end. Happy leap day!
Anna
