The first two seasons of Misfits was good... the rest was some of the worst tv I've ever seen. The first season of Downton Abbey was good, but I highly disliked season 2. They ruined all the characters. Homeland is excellent.
I need to finish season 4 Fringe and watch season 5 soonish. Particularly with the final being tonight.
I've been wanting to try out Ripper Street myself. :D
Oh really? Maybe I will just watch the first two seasons of Misfits then. And I heard some not-very-good things about Downton Abbey S2 too (and, frankly, it sounds to me like All My Children: 1920s UK or something), but I figured it might still be worth watching for certain reasons.
Elementary mostly annoys me. I hate how Sherlock just shows up at crime scenes even before anything weird is going on, so the writers have him do basic police work, like determining that the body was moved, and then present it like it's amazing. I also think it's hilarious how many cases have hinged on hidden recording devices; it was like 5 of the last 6 episodes. I can't make myself stop watching, though, because Jonny's just so charming. And I did actually really like the last episode because it dealt with actual Sherlock Holmes mythology

LOL That's hilarious. I've heard about the hate watching trend. I'm literally the mostly annoyingly optimistic person so I tend to focus on what I like and ignore what I don't unless it interferes with what I like and then I vent. Also, I rarely watch procedurals anymore. I think Castle is the only one. I tend to ignore the case and focus on the characters.
All that being said. NOTHING can top my UNDYING LOVE for Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock. That show is sheer calculated perfection. All other Sherlocks pale in contrast

Yeah, the Elementary Sherlock is very lucky so many people capture things on hidden camera or he might never solve a case! Sherlock Sherlock is definitely the ultimate. Benedict's amazing, and the writing is super sharp.
UGH, Noel consistently has the worst storylines!! His ridiculous marriage, and then stalking Tyra Banks, and then his Nice Guy™ shit with Felicity. Ben is my favorite. He has the best character arc of anyone over the course of the show.
Yeah, Bones took a little too long to get Booth and Bren together, but once they started on that road in S5, I actually quite like how the writers went about making it happen, with Bren first being afraid that she couldn't love like Booth does, and then finding her courage after he's already commited to someone else, and them both admitting that they have personal issues to deal with before they're ready to be together. It felt very true to their characters to me.
