Earlier I was at the gym, and in the parking lot there was a car parked across two spaces that had the license plate "QUEEN P". Obviously Cordelia Chase, the real one, left Los Angeles some time in season three of Angel, changed her name to, oh, Penelope, moved to the east coast, and has been happy and healthy ever since. It's nice to see her around.
Last night I watched five (5) Steve Carell interviews before bed, and then proceeded to spend the whole night dreaming that I was having a torrid affair with Hugh Laurie. ???? Um, I mean, I think Hugh Laurie's hot and all, I'm not made of stone, but the amount of time I spend thinking about him is really, really miniscule. Subconscious, I would like an explanation!
kyrafic and I have started cowriting a fic with a really ridiculous premise, from the POV of Dwight's cousin Mose, and it's the first thing I've really been excited about writing in months. (Thanks to
simon, its working title is "Pack Up Your Beets, It's Never Too Late!" Ahahahahaha.) I don't know why I'm only happy when I'm writing something retarded, but that really does seem to be the case.
I listen to LJ radio on my iPod, by which I mean I download whatever songs people on my flist put up, then forget to listen to them, and in six months songs I've never heard of pop up on shuffle and I have no idea where they came from. Yesterday this happened and I really liked the song, and it turns out it is by a band called "The Russian Futurists". This is especially ironic since my screennamesake, Vladimir Mayakovsky, was a Russian Futurist. So I don't know which one of you is responsible, but thank you for that -- it's like having my own theme song, or something.
You know, I never used to really get the podcast thing - it seemed like a lot of effort to me, downloading stuff and then remembering to listen to it. But over Christmas break, my brother kept talking about how he'd subscribed to the free "This American Life" podcast and he loved it, and then I got an iPod for Christmas, so I was like, what the heck. And let me tell you, it is a DELIGHT. It has changed the way I work out, and made walking places 100 times better, and my only sadness is that it's only an hour a week. Does anybody have any other podcast recommendations? Only things that are awesome, plis.
