Love/Hate Relationship

The Cubs play the Colorado Rockies in MLB play,OR
The Indianapolis Colts play the Dallas Cowboys in pre-season NFL action??
I have such a love/hate relationship with this time of year having two of my favorite "armchair" pastimes on at the same time!! Darnit! :( :)
I also took a bit of time to watch Rafa Nadal play tennis today;that was alot of fun as well! :)
In other news,we went to Dairy Queen to buy Blizzards to eat (for dinner!!) before going to church for VBS. What a cool Mommy I am!! *lol* Today was DQ's fundraiser for the Children's Miracle Network and I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to eat something excessively fattening for a good cause! Besides,we never patronize DQ any other day of the year,so I felt we deserved it! Erin and I had Oreo,and Shawn and Kam opted for M&M. Yummers!!
Well,after losing 4 games in a row,and 6 out of the last 7,the Cubs are actually winning 6 to 1 against the Rockies,and Mike Fontenot (Fon-ten-oh) just RBI'd that 6th run with a triple! Yay! :)
The Cowboys are stomping the Colts 20-3 so far late in the 3rd quarter. I have a bit of ire against the Colts and QB Peyton Manning for winning against the Bears in this last Super Bowl but eh,I kinda wish they could at least get something going. The Cowboys are pretty cool,though,so whatever. Da Bears don't play their first televised pre-season game til Aug. 20 and I can't wait! I just hope they don't end up being like the Steelers who won the '06 SB and then lost their rhythm this past season and didn't even make the playoffs. I hope it isn't another 20 years before the Bears are in the Super Bowl,either!! Ah well,I digress and I'd better go.
Oh,but the Cubs are winning 7-1 now with two on base and no outs. Yay!! They had barely scored 7 runs in the past 4 games combined! It's about time they got somethin' going! :)
