Tears For Humanity Again

Gosh it happened again, this time to the innocent children of the Amish community! That is just horrific and you have to wonder what "grudge" this guy had that made him feel like he had to take out beautiful, innocent children. And he had a family of his own!

Makes me wonder what the Amish will think of us now. I have always been fascinated with their lifestyle and culture, and having spent some of my childhood in Ohio (where several Amish communities reside) I have the utmost respect for them. This most recent incident makes me wonder if they REALLY think we here in the "outside" world are a bunch of evil heathens and if they will be able to forgive such a hedonistic society for this tragedy. I mean, yeah,it was one guy who did it and not society-at-large,but still,he was one of "us".

I sure hope this doesn't make them want to revert even further into their private lives, though if they did I surely wouldn't blame them. On the other hand the parents of the children who are still in the hospital should be somewhat grateful for medical advances because their children might not still be alive if it weren't for those doctors and nurses who are responsible for their care, though these Amish parents might decide they'd rather have deceased children than let the "heathens" take care of their offspring.

I read in this article that the parents didn't want to fly to the hospitals where their children are/were,and instead were driven, but they should be happy that there is a faster way to get there than the usual horse-and-buggy. And they should be happy that Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone otherwise the Amish teacher wouldn't have been able to alert the authorities to the situation and more children might have been victimized.

It's just a sad,sad situation, not only for the Amish community directly affected, but for the Amish community at large, and for the "rest of us" out here in the "modern world" because this is just another example of the Hell that this country (and world) is going to.

The only saving grace is that for every one horrible incident like this there are 1,000 positive things that happen every day! Praise the Lord for that! :)

modern world, amish
