Now you're here and you don't know why

I will be at work today for a total of 11 hours. OY!!! But after all this fun, it will be off to the gym and then home.

Had a good weekend. Hung out with Sara on Friday night after a 6 hour nap, we got food and watch "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants". I cried 3 times, but dang it for being such a cute movie. Back in bed by 10:30 to sleep for the 5K the next AM.

Saturday dawned perfect for the 5K. Low 20's and sunny. Met Jeffy at the race and ran into my old coach and one of our TNT participants. Dave joked about the Courtney thing and I didn't want to seem upset over things in front of people, but it was tough not to let my true feelings on it show. But the suprise of the day was looking around and LTN Boy was there. Quickly popped over to say hi and sorry for not calling him back from last weekend. It's weird with him, like twice a month he just popps up or we talk or something, but nothing big or important. Ehhh.

The race was good, Jeffy and I shaved 4 minutes off of our last race. Sara came in at 20:50 and was upset but later told me that seeing me smiling and happy at the finish is what she wants to get back to. The enjoyment of running that I have and she feels like she has lost in some ways.

After the race, just bummed around and got ready to see Amanda do the Miss Coon Rapids Pagent. Amanda knocked it out of the park on this one but somehow came in second. All of us were sitting there doing the math in our heads and no one can figure out how the other girl won. Amanda won talent, HAD to have won swim suit and evening gown and her on-stage interview question was by far the best and more poised. So the only way we can figure it happened was in the long interview last Thurs. The winning girl must have nailed it that night because Amanda killed her all night on Saturday. Even the judges looked confused as to who was crowned.

So after that disapointment, Katie and I went out for drinks and food. Amanda was not in the mood to go out, so I'll see her later.

Sunday was just a luncheon for the staff at church, then laundry and an attempt to do my taxes. That didn't go well, so I consoled myself with Gray's Anatomy. It was soooo good last night.
