I went to Juugosai in Fukuoka as well~ It was the second time, since I had already been to Nagoya’s show as well (for my report on that concert, click
here).
So, this is the concert that made me switch my number 1 from Ryo-chan to Yoko. Which is kind of mean to say now, after things that happened, but it’s true ><
I enjoyed the concert in Fukuoka a lot more than the one in Nagoya. They were a lot better, and the duets were actually in tune this time (thankfully xD). The audience also seemed a lot more excited/ into the dances/ fanchants etc, so the atmosphere was really good as well.
Our seats weren’t as good as those we had in Nagoya, but they were still fairly decent. And we were on the other side of the stage, which meant we were closer to the stuff we couldn’t quite see last time. Why is it that no matter where you are, you always feel like your favourites go to the other side? (I bet it’s because they’re always longer further away from you than that they are close to you xD)
Like I said last time, the setlist is sooo good for Juugosai. Them starting with Wake up is my favourite thing ever and it just got me so excited for the concert! Still sad they didn’t do the Yoko version of Zukokke Otokomichi.
Usually during concerts I really really love Ryo-chan, because he’s just amazing and really shines and his voice is my favourite thing. But this time, somehow it felt different. I couldn’t really put my finger on it then, and kind of just assumed that I just started like Yoko better, because he was really good (he was, I swear, he was a 100 times better than in Nagoya) and he was just really cute and happy and bubbly and amazing. In hindsight I feel like maybe Ryo-chan just wasn’t as into it as before, since he was already planning to leave Kanjani? That maybe that was why it felt different? I legit changed my fanclub favourite from Ryo-chan to Yoko after the concert, and then a month later Ryo-chan says he’s going to leave. My feelings towards everything are very complicated.
Anyway, during this concert their special song was Kujira to Penguin which was super nice~ Ohkura and Maru’s duet was so amazing this time! God they were good. Ryo-chan and Yasu were really good as always as well~ Yoko and Hina’s duet was really good this time too. Now I know for sure that Yoko messed up his trumpet last time, since he did it correctly this time xD His singing was also on point. (My friend said she was super impressed with his singing, because she always thought he couldn’t really sing. She had actually said last time that he was better than she imagined, while I was kind of disappointed because he was worse than when I saw them live before, but this time he was great, so I was like: this is how he always sounds when I see them! xD)
Ryo-chan was a bit hoarse and so was Tacchon, but it wasn’t that obvious when they were singing (more when they were talking). They talked about how they had drunk way too much the day before during the MC, so I was like: Oooh, so that’s why you guys are hoarse.
Kinda unprofessional though, to be honest. They said they had felt really bad in the morning but were okay now, and that they always drank a lot when they were in Fukuoka. Maru had stayed sober and he said it was really weird to experience the same party without drinking.
For the Lovegram Yasu got to pick and he misspoke when calling out the numbers saying shiban instead of yonban. He picked Yoko and Ryo-chan, and it was their third time in a row! They did a nose-kiss. I was just happy it was my two favourites though.
At the end after they said goodbye Yoko pretended to throw a Yoko doll into the audience (it had been standing on the set the whole time, and during the band songs was exactly behind Hina, looking very Yoko-Hina on the screen xD). Then after he had put it back, Maru? Tacchon? one of them came out and actually threw it into the audience!
Maru was very big with the fanservice again, as was Tacchon. Yoko and Hina were really happy and fun, and so was Yasu. Ryo-chan seemed fine as well, though not as impressive/adorable as usual.
I really really really loved this concert, and it’s probably my favourite Kanjani8 concert so far. With Ryo-chan now also leaving, it’s kind of bittersweet thinking back. (especially with how suddenly he just left everything). Of course, my friend and I have applied for their upd8 tour, though with the small venues, the chances of us hitting aren’t that high ><; Kanjani8 without Ryo-chan and Subaru, it will definitely be weird. They’ll have to redo all their songs, again, I feel so bad for them. Does this mean Yoko/Hina will be doing more harmonies? Is that why they were doing more harmonies during this concert? For practice? I’m guessing Maru and Yasu will be the main vocals now? This is just going to be really weird, and it will take some time to get used to. I became a Kanjani8 fan because of Ryo-chan. He was my number one for a long time, for about 8 years (though the past three years shared with Yoko and me being unable to choose). Only recently, after this last concert, did I change my favourite and then he left. It’s just overall really weird >
