and an old one ends. I have kept several news year's resolutions that I made a year ago:
I got my wedding ring and engagement ring resized in January. I started swimming pretty regularly at the indoor city pool in March. I swam a mile on my birthday in August. I read some of the books that were on my long-standing list. And I finished up the last one yesterday: I organized and culled several year's worth of notes of books that looked interesting at the time. Reduced a pile of post-it notes, corners of newspaper and magazine pages, and other disreputable scraps of paper into a lovely little notebook.
And one of my new new year's resolutions is to read more of those books! I also want to keep up with the regular swimming and do some more walking as well. I also want to keep up regular visits to my in-laws who live about an hour's drive away. They are not getting any younger and need someone to do those little things around the house. New resolutions: learn to play bridge and the biggie: set up a conservation practice in my own space and work full time.
SO, with those thoughts in mind, happy new year wishes to all and to all a good night!
