The 27 of February… how’d that happen?

I must say that this has been one of the most enjoyable months I’ve had in a long time. I’ve been working at places I enjoy, and I’ve been able to go traveling! Who could ask for more?

The trip to Ontario was fantastic! I miss Normalie, but I know that they are doing very well and they both seem pleased to be where they are in life. Nat is working at a job she really enjoys and Norm seems to be finding his groove at Uni. These two are such good quality people and I am very lucky to call them my friends! I wish that we could still have regular games nights, but I’m certain that we will always be able to drop by with a bottle of wine and a deck (or four) of cards.

My cousin (and yes, I can say that as a specific identifier as I only have 1 cousin) is doing very well for herself too. She’s just moved into a newly built huge house. Man oh man, that place is big… and it still smells of plaster and paint. It really is a nice house, but I don’t think I would want to live there. It’s too far away from everything (read suburbs) without actually being away from everything. She is doing well, and her daughter is growing like a weed. Keth is amazing!

Hamilton was pleasantly comfortable… when I saw the big church on the hill I almost thought I had made it home. That, my friend, was a little surprising and left a smile on my face. As for the people in Hamilton, they are top notch! I really do wish I could collect the three people in Hamilton, the two or three in Toronto, one in Calgary, one in Vancouver, one in Hillsborough, two in Portland… and a couple from here in Halifax and take the whole posse with me to England. We could take over a row of houses and life would be grand! Could you imagine! What a joy it would be to have all for my dearest friends just around the corner… though I suppose with modern transportation and communication, one really shouldn’t complain eh? But I can dream!

Anyhue, back to reality I guess…

So overall last week was fantastic. I also realize that I can get way too frustrated with myself way too quickly, so I have yet another thing to add to the list of personality traits to work on. *sigh*

Right then… I have a feeling that I will be posting a lot this week. I’ve already completed the task that was suppose to keep me busy during the slow periods… all week long. Could be worse! I think I’ll bring my knitting tomorrow.
