if you could call it that...
I got a solid 85% in my community class (up from the pre-final grade of an 80%). COMMUNITY. What does that even mean?
It means my teachers suck ass at writing tests and that there are good students, GOOD ones, who came into the the class with GPAs of like a 3.8 or 3.9 and are FAILING that class and not moving on in the program with the rest of us. FAILING. WHAT?
But I passed so no worries. 3.0 on 2 credits won't kill me off, and I got an A in clinical (4 credits). I also got an A in theology (5 credits) and almost certainly an A in Leadership/Managment (3 credits). I think my GPA is relatively safe.
You may, at this point be wondering 2 things. The first, why I am so worried about my GPA. Easily answered- graduate school. I never wanted to be a nurse.
The other is why I am not taking any actual nursing classes! Why, I wondered that every day of the quarter myself. I will graduate and hopefully pass the NCLEX having only taken two hardcore nursing classes. Two. In TWO WHOLE YEARS PLUS A SUMMER.
I might just throw up. Actually, I'm going to make an french country style citrus-yogurt cake to bring down to my parents' house for dinner tonight. Should be an enjoyable time.
Next quarter, thank goodness, I'll be learning actual skills. Med/Surg, Pharm, and Health Care Ethics. dayam.
