Last day of the month

2014 is flying by already.

Later this afternoon The Spousal Unit, The Boy, and I are heading to Tampa for a concert. I just wish the weather was better. It's still chilly where I thought we were supposed to start warming up today; but instead it's damp and raining. I don't mind that it's not warmer, but I'm not looking forward to fighting the traffic in the rain and gloom.

Not that we can't use the rain, because we need it. But if I could ship some to California, I would.

My neighbor will come in and let the dogs out a few times, give them their treats, and maybe take them for a walk if the weather clears up.

I've had Stevie Nicks' "Seven Wonders" rolling around in my brain ever since Wednesday's finale of American Horror Story: Coven. Bring on seasons four and five, though at the same time I'm bummed that season four will be Jessica Lange's last. I can't believe some of the stuff the producers have put her through these last three years. She has to be a damn good sport. Only on cable. ;)

Other recent renewals that have made me happy include Cinemax giving Banshee a third season yesterday - so far the second season is kick-ass and has flowed seamlessly out of season one - and Syfy's 26-episode renewal of Haven. That was a big surprise. I guess the ratings were very good last season. I just wish I could say I really liked last season, but for the most part it was kind of blah with me. And I'm really not happy that Audrey isn't Audrey. With 26 more episodes on the horizon, I assume that means "Mara" will be around a lot longer than I care to have her in the narrative.

But the fanbase is passionate, and it's nice to see Syfy rewarding those fans and everyone involved in making the show.

I've had to take a Benadryl already today - these constant barometer changes wreak havoc with my sinus migraines. I hope I don't sleep through the concert! I never had to pop one single antihistamine when I was in San Francisco earlier this month. I'm so living in the wrong state.
