I've been back from San Francisco since January 7, and have been playing catch-up ever since. I can only imagine how much I'm going to have to do when I return from my nine day trip in March. I feel bad leaving The Spousal Unit with so much extra on his plate while I'm gone for that long, and I'm sure I'll be more than ready to come home at the end of the trip. But I'm already looking forward to it too.
I LOVED San Francisco! I'm thrilled that we can make it work for The Girl Child to get this chance in her life to live and work in such a cool city. She's become a complete convert - she even had to break down and buy a 49ers shirt to watch the game yesterday. Too bad they lost - so TSU says we'll be rooting for Denver in the Super Bowl since they have the most Gators on their team. ;)
vala3 came into town yesterday to have a much belated Christmas with us. It's gotten harder every year for us to make up to Gainesville during the holidays. Phone calls with TSU's family have sufficed. Everyone is so busy doing their own thing. I have no idea what we'll be doing for Christmas next year since TSU and I will be going back to SF mid-December for TGC's graduation.
Anyway, the three of us saw Her yesterday, which was a very interesting film. TSU and I liked the movie. I think
vala3 was a little bored at times, but she liked parts of it as well. Then we went to dinner and came home to enjoy dessert and watch HBO. We enjoyed having her here for the little bit of time she could make it.
Today TSU had to volunteer at the Orlando Science Center for a tech con they're having that includes equipment donated by Lockheed Martin. So that means they needed engineers there to run the equipment. The company coordinates a lot of events with the Science Center.
I took it easy, did a little shopping, came home and tooled around on the computer, walked the dogs, and cleaned the bird bath. Now I'm going to sit down and read and put on something off the dvr for noise.
Just wanted to say check in and say "hi"! I hope everyone is having a pleasant day.
