Summer viewing habits

As of Saturday we became an Arbitron family, randomly picked. I didn't realize until we signed on that Arbitron factors into television ratings as well as radio, but I guess they compete with Nielsen on that level now ( Read more... )

Can't wait to see WC. I want to see their bromance healthy and funny as it used to be...let's hope they will fix it.

I hear ya! That's what I want too, but from what I've read from the producers, they kind of want to take Neal back to the more bad boy he was, and feel he got a little too cozy with Peter this last season. *sniff* But that can't do away with it entirely since it's a large part of the appeal of the show.

Supposedly the theme this year is which side will Neal choose - let's hope he chooses the side of right, which is Peter!

I am wicked jealous! I've always wanted to live in a ratings household. When I was 15, we were randomly chosen by Nielsen for a summer survey, but then the TV writers went on strike and Nielsen canceled the survey. *sadface*

We were Nielsen viewers many-many years ago, back when they had books you filled out and mailed back. Talk about dating! *ack*

If only I thought we really would make a diff. ;) But, hey, I can pretend and feel powerful anyway.

WC! And of course i have to work the whole day :( I liked the ending of the last season because i like me some angst and i don't think anything can destroy their bromance now :)

Saw Outcasts already. Won't spoil you.

Both Falling Skies and Wilfried are on my watch list too.
Not sure i want to continue with Leverage though.
But i totally can't wait for Haven. I was sp bored with it in the middle of last season but then things started to play faster and the end kicked me in my gut. But i'm no eyefucking fan. I like the lead female there.

What did you think of the premiere? I liked it, but I'm nervous.

Thumbs up or down?

Yay! I think you're the only other person I've heard from who is going to check out those shows too. :)

WC: i love the premiere! They finally gave me some angst and i like them playing with each other. I find it logical that Niel caught the opportunity to get some treasure and that Peter is quick in suspecting him. I like their dance :)

Outcasts: the pilot was promissing but the other eps... wasn't impressed. :(

New shows: really? I'm the only one? Really? I'm shocked. :)

Woo! I was a Nielsen family (me and the cat, I suppose) for a whole month a few years back. I hooked up Psych, SPN, and all the scifi I could find. Didn't help any, but hey, I only watched one top ten show: NCIS :D

I don't have half the channels that the new shows premiere on. Debating whether to just cancel Dish completely and go strictly with Hulu/Netflix. I feel like I'm wasting $30 and I only watch Food Network and Science Channel. Oh, and Camelot on Starz, but that ends this Sunday.

I guess I'll need to check all the network websites to see if they stream episodes after they air. I wanted to see Falling Skies.

On TGC and DW - I hooked my nephew and niece on the original Star Wars...when they were about 3 years old. Bwhaaa! Nephew is 8 and still wanting the toys. Thank goodness for ebay. Old SW toys are hard to come by.

Yeah, I remember we were a Nielsen family many moons ago too, and it was for a specific time - maybe it was a month. And we had to fill out these silly little books and send them back. I'm sure they don't do it like that anymore. ;)

I wanted to see Falling Skies.

Dish doesn't pick up TNT? That's practically basic cable. I'm pretty sure their website streams episodes. I've heard them advertise it before.

Dish does get TNT...but not the plan I'm on. I have their cheap "family" plan, which does NOT include CNN, TNT, TBS, FX, SyFy, AMC...the only gain I got when switching was $20 less a month and the Science channel. It's not worth it.

Now, to find out what's on Hulu and Netflix!
