So, here we are -- Stephen, Rick, Isil, and me - watching My Fair Lady while Godzilla bird cooks. Isil adores chocolate, so we are making made a double batch of chocolate mousse. It's a group effort - I separated the eggs. and the others took turns stirring, and whipping, and folding. Rick made green bean casserole, Stephen brined the turkey. He and Rick got the smallest one available - a 25 pound Godzilla bird. Good thing we all like leftover turkey.

Isil's from Turkey, and this is her second American Thanksgiving, both spent with our family. Steve's got a home cooking Turkish recipe for kale, leeks, chickpeas, and all (fabulous comfort food) to help us last untiil the Godzilla bird is ready. Rick will make mashed potatoes, and I have cornbread dressing in the works, and cranberry sauce waiting in the refrigerator.

Got the enclosure kit for the old hard drive, but the new one cannot read it. It's dead, Jim. However, I got a wireless router, and after some bonding time with tech support, I now have a working wireless network! The cat will be deeply satified at the improved snuggle factor.

No work tomorrow, or the weekend, for either job! Will make batches of two different soups (15 bean, and vegetable beef soup) for the cast and crew of the Henry VI shows at the Tavern for Friday night.

Be well, everyone!
