I feel so much better for giving Renoa a name like that now. Poor guy with a girl's name. And moonsliver, I can't tell you how much love I have for you for making the female name jokes so often I felt compelled to include it

...and yet I'm going to call him 'her' every time I see it, because it still makes me think of FFVIII's Rinoa. (I even pronounce it the same.)

It's "re" not "ri". T_T It's supposed to sound like Renoir! T_T

I know, but it's so close to me that the difference between the e/i is not that pronounced. (Indiana dialect, admittedly, slurs the short-e and short-i sounds. I have to actually sit and annunciate very slowly to get the difference verbally. And when I'm reading the re/ri difference doesn't really register.)

...yeah, we don't want to hear me say "Renoir" either. >>; (I have perfect Latin diction, but French diction is so not the same. :\)

Is Renoa a girl's name? *clueless* I thought it was just sophisticated. (Lol, what did the article say about uneducated parents? XD Oh well, at least I wouldn't name my baby Obi Wan--like my friend's sister's friend did--or Sandalia--sandal.)

Apparently too many people confuse it with Rinoa from Final Fantasy! T_T I've never even played those games--Renoa's name comes from Renoir.
