Get your move on!

I'VE FOUND MY NEW FAVOURITE SHOW!!! IT TOTALLY IS LAZY TOWN!!!

So if you have seen Lazy Town, you will get why I dig. And if you haven't, then read on!...

...Basically it's a show for obese kids, that encourages healthy eating and exercise. You see, the hero of the whole show is none other than the well-toned and rhythmic...

SPORTACUS!

Like Spartacus, but more sporty. Clever, no? Here is the man himself, equipped with handlebar moustache, award winning (yes, Lazy Town has been nominated for 5 EDDA awards in ICELAND!) smile, a sexy and yet practical blue spandex number and more vegetables than you can shake a carrot at (ehehehe):

Isn't he dreamy?

And he's more than just a muscle-bound monkey, ladies. That's right! It's Sportacus' job to ensure that the evil Robbie Rotten has all his rotten (this entry is full of bad jokes, sorry, it's what happens when they make me drink de-caff) plans foiled. And what are his evil plans?! Usually things to make the people of Lazy Town more lazy. Why?! We never really find out.

What saddens me horribly about this show is that the guy who plays Robbie Rotten is trying SO, SO, SO hard to be Jim Carrey that it's sort of depressing. I can imagine this guy standing in his mirror at home going acting out scenes from The Mask or Bruce Almighty, getting horribly drunk and collapsing in tears at the fact his acting career will never stretch beyond playing the guy who makes kids obese.

Anyways, here he is:

But fear not, it's about to get SO much better. Meet Stephanie, an impressively slim and bubbly brat whose part in the show is to sing and dance about why exercise is good for you, and why obese kids don't have friends. Here is her!:

So I know who I'm dressing as this Halloween!

"Because she wasn’t raised in LazyTown, Stephanie doesn’t struggle with basic health issues like the other kids. Instead, she’s trying to figure out how to stay true to what feels right for her while surrounded by the unhealthy behaviors of her new friends."

Here are the scary, obese and unhealthy kids:

'Ziggy' - addicted to candy

'Stingy' - I have a crush on this guy (maybe it's the Morissey-esque hair cut?). His unhealthy habit is a want for material things, and a jealousy of what others have that he does not. Awww.

'Trixie' - obligatory cute Jap (*ethnicity envy*), too afraid her high intelligence will make her look 'uncool'.

'Pixel' - too obsessed with video games, t.v and computers (and LJ!)

Whilst I have fun watching the episodes, and going squirmy and giggly imagining myself with pink hair and bouncey sneakers and lots of puppet friends, I am amazed at the athlesity of Sportacus himself. For what would be a normal trip to the shop for most is a full 38 back-flips, 72 hops, 43 sprints, 61 sommersaults and 942 bounces (all emphasised by sound effects) for Sportacus.

Today's episode begins in Sportacus' ship, he's shooting some hoops when suddenly he turns to the camera, picks up a handful of vegetables and starts juggling them in the air. Catching each veg one by one "Vitamin A... Vitamin B.... Vitamin C!... That's the way to do your ABC's!"

You said it, Sport.

*Sigh*

EDIT:

WHAT THE HELL?!
