Thanks to a real bruiser of an antibiotic, I've been sleeping - somewhat turbulently. I haven't even had to take any of the plant-based 'sleepers' (valerian) the 'toubib' prescribed me. Just trying to breathe (more or less) normally, my lungs and bronchiole were making a noise like children tearing the wrapping paper off christmas presents. I slept sporadically, waking often to cough convulsively (dangerous for my aorta) and spit horrible streaks of greasy sputum (speckled with blood) into a hankerchief ( Read more... )

My bloodstream and vital organs are waging war against phage-attack, and many of my cells are awash with unwanted (and unasked-for) DNA. Shivers, temperature, sharp pains, hacking cough (mercifully coming under control), swimming head...
