I guess most people have probably heard about Amazon and their particular brand of stupidity and FAIL in de-ranking books based on 'adult' content - only for it to be discovered that almost all of the affected books are 'GLBTQ' books. And that some of them aren't even 'adult' - ergo, erotic.

[here] Any UKers looking for alternative book vendors, I've been using
[The Book Depository] for some time and can say they are great - good customer service, competitive prices (often cheaper than Amazon). I discovered this company through Amazon's Marketplace a few years back when they were much smaller.
[Alibris] has also gotten my interest, for imports mainly.
I don't like bigots. We established this last year with the race issue I had with a local business. I would rather pay more than give money to companies who make poor choices such as this one. As a bisexual, but most importantly as a person with some degree of conscience, I won't give Amazon another penny of my money, not while they do the dirty work of right-wing fundies in making the GLBTQ community not seen and not heard, and not while they take the food out of the mouths of authors who dare to write about homosexuality or include GLBTQ characters in their books.
Here's
[my own final parting shot] to Amazon, followed swiftly by removing my payment details from their clutches.
I'd like to stamp on them for the Yankees typo too, however since I've seen that on several sites looking for the same book, I can only assume the error is in the ISBN information.
