I'm really looking forward to the end of all this. Not that I haven't enjoyed it; this year has been really a good challenge intellectually and I've really enjoyed it, but I am itching for some clinical work. Not sure what God has in store for me but I know it's gonna be good. One more semester to go though. This sem I'm taking an elective in primary health and population health, as well as continuing my research/dissertation. It's challenging alright! I actually find my coursework a relaxing distraction from data analysis. I'm procrastinating for the first time this year - I think that speaks volumes.
Also am in a teaching assistant position - although since I haven't formally signed my contract I better keep mum on that one for now. :p
I got out in the garden recently for short bouts of weeding/tidying. Can't believe my current excitement is from the thought of having ordered a green waste bag service. Love how my interests have diverged! It's a monthly service and is cheaper than getting contractors to take the green waste to the tip and will also encourage me to do more tidying. When you have a garden this big it's not enough to compost (we have two heaps), Bokashi (indoor fermentation composting) and use in the log burner (dead wood, dead branches, trimmed trees - it's amazing how much I can "harvest/forage" from our own garden!)
I am SOOO looking forward to spending long hours in the garden and sprucing it up. Not much growing at the moment, in the way of veggies. Got a few plants still braving the crazy changes in weather and my lack of attention, but perennials and ornamentals aren't bad. Can't wait to not have readings and homework anymore! For awhile anyway.
Think I will revive this blog. None of my friends might be around anymore, but who knows? Someone might swing by... *wave*
