one down..........
I finished my first sock EVER on Friday night.
Its just a little anklet sock but still, I feel very accomplished. I already have a few inches done on #2. I'm in a bit of a hurry because I want to have the pair done to give to my mom for her birthday (party on June 22nd ). My mom doesn't knit but she knows enough about it that she thinks sock knitting is highly impressive. She keeps telling me that I should go get one of my great-aunt's who knits socks to show me how. I haven't told her that I figured out on my own (with the help of the lovely internet) so the socks should be a nice surprise.
Apparently my sister is having her husband build mom a huge interlock fire pit for her backyard as their gift. That makes my sock seem a little pitiful by comparison, doesn't it?
Still I enjoyed the process I just don't really like working with DPNs. I have ordered some different sized circs that I'll try out for next pair. I think I'll do one pair wih Magic Loop and one with 2 circs and see what I like best. DPNs just aren't for me. Please God, let the other methods be easier.............
