(no subject)
I could be jinxing myself by thinking that my laptop is going to last long enough for me to write in my livejournal.
Wow I've felt out of touch without the internet, and I really don't care how sad that sounds.
Life has been surreal lately. I just moved into a new apartment, all by myself. I've never lived all by myself before. I'm getting used to it, I think. I don't do the alone thing very well. Come on, look at the family I come from. I am used to lots of people, loud people, I like that. It's comforting. I do my homework at coffee shops just to be in social situations. This is a huge change for me. Don't get me wrong, coming home after work to the silence is nice. To be able to unwind without anyone asking me a million questions about my day is fantastic, but after that hour or so I start getting very bored... antsy..
Who knows, maybe I never even knew that about myself. I like company, I like my friends, I like talking to people, I like the noise.
I'm sure I'll get over it and get used to it, and I really do spend a lot of my time with my friends and family anyways so it's not thaaaaaat bad.
On the other hand, great times have been had in my cute new apartment so far. The girls and I have had a few mojito saturdays here, amber and i got wasted and played with my wedding dress, brandee and i succeeded at assembling furniture together, i've watched dirty dancing so many times, and so much videogame karaoke has happened.
I love my neighborhood. I've started running again. It's so much easier when the weather is nice, especially when i live so close to so many great parks... even 17th ave. I'm already getting a fantastic tan. It's going to be a good summer.
5 weeks until vacation. I can't wait. I'm going away for two weeks. First to PA for Lola's brother's wedding, then Albany then... CAPE COD 2008. I can not wait to see my family. I'm missing them like crazy.
In other news. Kirsten's 24th birthday is coming up. She's having "A very Britney birthday". I can't even explain how excited I am for this. Everyone has to dress up as some phase of Britney Spears... or someone or something that has to do with her. I am being hot pink wig and sunglasses Britney. Amber is being vegas wedding britney and chris is being K-Fed. If anyone wants to join in on the fun and be my date let me know. (Brandee, I seriously can not believe you are leaving the day before.)
Okay. I'm done pushing my luck with this computer for now.
