I guess whenever I start to get emotional or moody, perhaps even just pensive, I go to LiveJournal.

Luckily, it's been a while since I've been here.

(I wonder if I should even include the 'reflection' tag, since everything I work on now is based on my own reflections.)

Maybe it's the weather, with it's grey skies, clammy and chilling winds.
Maybe it's the stress of life, pounding and pulsing like my temple.

... Maybe.
I just need a break from it all.

The PI of my lab asked me today if I had a boyfriend. I said I did not, so she gave me advice. "That's ok, you'll find someone some day. It's like what my mother used to always say: 'Don't settle for mediocrity.' Find someone worth it."

I laughed, but I'm honestly not sure how to take this advice. Hahaha.

Getting lost in memories of the past.

Strong impact.
Hairline cracks split open.
Shrapnel flies, hurting those uninvolved.

Is it too late to fix things...?
Should I intervene, when it is not my direct problem?
