Re: KINGDOM HEARTS: Ienzo -- ReservedtempustemporumJune 18 2011, 13:01:52 UTC
Even while all this happens, he remains completely emotionless as an exterior, and is very skilled at the art of severely creeping people out. However, much as he would like to delude himself into thinking that he’s a robot and not a child, and that he does not have the standard mental shakiness that all children bear… well, that’s not true. He makes a point to draw attention away from himself, and in the presence of someone he respects, he will revert from whatever quick-thinking thing he was a few minutes ago into a docile, obedient little creature, slipping behind them when they walk and never doubting their motives, ever. (Case in point: Ansem the Wise, who he refers to solely as 'Master Ansem' and completely idolizes. Also, later on in his life, it was this exact tendency that would get him killed.) Even his sleep is plagued by this; he is always grimacing, or at least frowning, while he’s asleep, and when asleep will always curl up into a variant of the fetal position known only as an ‘Ienzo-ball’.
Ienzo is highly critical of himself, even more so than others; while it was mentioned before that he expects himself to act completely stoic 24/7, that’s not the end of it - not by a long shot. He second-guesses himself very often, and for a sentence to die halfway out his mouth is far from uncommon. And even then, he has many pauses interlaced through his speech, as though he isn’t accustomed to speaking very much at all. (Which he isn’t.) He has little margin for error in his own mind, and when others tell him to knock off the work for a while and chill out, he will almost inevitably look at them funny… and then return to whatever he was doing.
However, for all of the perils and pitfalls that Ienzo presents to the world, there is one thing that must never be done, ever: do not get him mad. Do not get him mad. The resulting explosion will be… well, let’s just say that ‘brutal and terrifying’ would be an understatement, and leave it at that. Abilities: Ienzo, at the moment, has no extraordinary abilities, unless you count intelligence and/or ridiculous amounts of insight. However, due to… certain incidents beforehand (see history section), at some point in the future he MAY come into possession of a Keyblade, depending on the response to a question to the admins. (Note that Keyblades are not corporeal weapons and cannot be contained in a chest; they can be summoned from a user's hand at will.) This same prospect goes for a certain giant reservoir of Darkness sitting inside him, as a result of: a., a natural surplus, b., working with Darkness for so many years, and c., a lot of Darkness exposure when he was an infant, thanks to his father. This Darkness is the reason why getting him angry is a bad, BAD idea.

Sample Entry: It is always important for one to have his priorities, and even in the event of total worldly fallout, Ienzo had his priorities. (As a matter of fact, his world would have been destroyed later, eaten all up by Darkness. It was going to happen anyhow, any way one looks at it. Somehow, however, whatever did this had managed to avoid the complete temporal-spatial mess that comes from a world being destroyed before it was supposed to, to continue the future of the plot.)
His priority, right now, was to find a library… or anything else, really, but mostly a library.
The proper exploration of large, sprawling castles was nothing new to Ienzo - he had lived in a very similar large, sprawling castle for most all of his short life, so there was at least some degree of experience under his belt when he decided to go out and attempt to understand where exactly he was. (Looking out the window provided nothing but a near-solid wall of fog, so he noted that whichever world this was, it was extremely foggy, and moved on.) He was perhaps hoping that a tapestry or a piece of architecture would perhaps clue him in, even with his limited knowledge of the other worlds (having never actually left Radiant Garden himself).
Furthermore, the attempt at locating a library was for two reasons: one, because he is a total shameless bibliophile, and two, because it almost certainly possesses a wealth of information - information that might give him insight into which world he had been carried to. He was assuming that this was another world, because despite never having seen the exterior of this castle, he did not at all recall a structure of this caliber that wasn’t Master Ansem’s anywhere in Radiant Garden.
…Master Ansem.
What had happened to him? Ienzo actually stopped moving, pushing himself into a dark corner so that no one would see him while he thought. What had happened to all the other residents of Radiant Garden, as well? Would he ever see them again? Of course, at this point, he had no clue that his world had been completely destroyed, so he had no reason to believe that any serious harm had come to them, so it was all complete sentimentality - which would explain why he had tried to hide himself. A little voice in the back of Ienzo’s head took on its usual stern, serious-business tone and informed him that if anything, he was the one that he should be worried about - the others were all completely competent adults, they were capable of making their own decisions and taking care of themselves. With this chiding delivered, Ienzo slipped out of his hidey-hole and continued on his way, leaving no stone unturned in his quest to scope out the new world.
Not once did it occur to him that Ansem and the others might be worried about his whereabouts.

Since his old abilities section is headcanon-filled and otherwise just lame, let's replace it with this instead.
Abilities: Ienzo, at the moment, has no extraordinary abilities, unless you count intelligence and/or ridiculous amounts of insight. However, if his characterization as an adult is to be believed, he has quite a bit of magical ability... except he doesn't actually know any magic right now. Will someone else teach him? Maybe. I don't know. But the possibility is there.
