Drode, I understand the urge to point and laugh, but you didn't need to show up. Really. Well all realize that this Stu is the mpreg spawn of Crayak; evil just rises off of him with his woodsy Stuish stench.

The "I'm white" comment was so unintentionally amusing.

*in re icon* No, I'm an ABOMINATION unto Nuggan. *counters with bad 25th icon*

Truly, a beast of such evil power could only be Crayak and the Ellimist's illicit offspring. (Hey, it beats the alternatives...)

Wait, what? The Stu is the Ellimist's son? Someone, please, make sense of that before my brain explodes.

(Besides, the only people who could be related to the Ellimist and have it make sense -- to me, anyway -- are Ax and Elfangor.)

There is no sense. I think maybe it's like a Greek god kind of thing, where you have half-immortals running around and the gods are vaguely embarrassed by the mortal parent, but I'm not sure. I shudder to imagine where the author thought she was going with this plot. Probably, he would have been able to morph as soon as his daddy explained the shape-shifting thing, meddle with the past, make time stop, kill people by thinking about them, etc.. And he'd be rich, because all Sues starting with an orphan must end in them having vast quantities of money to throw around, one way or another.

Hm. Perhaps the author actually realized that an all-powerful, unstoppable, accidentally David-like Animorph was not the way to go? Or is that giving her too much credit?

And Ax and Elfangor? Do you mean they might be related to Tree - or whatever the Ellimist's "wife" was named? That would be interesting, but I don't know where it would go in terms of plot.

Depends. If he starts getting David-ish, we'll see if she starts praising it, saying he's just "misguided, the poor thing". Then we'll know.

That I do! However, the idea is not mine, it belongs 100% to the lovely perpetual_poet. She mentioned it in one of her fics and I just fell in love with the idea. I've never put it in a story, but I in a way, it would explain the Ellimist's odd attachment to Tobias and Elfangor, no?

If he starts getting David-ish

He started by stabbing Ax up the tail - nearly unprovoked - and then using his life as a bargaining chip. And the Animorphs played along. Surely that counts for something on the David-ish scale?

It would indeed. I like that idea a lot - it's much better than just supposing that Elfangor was "fated" to do everything he did. But now you've got me thinking about how one could say that Elfangor = Odysseus (making Loren Penelope, which is a bit of a stretch but ultimately works) and Ax or Tobias is Telemachus and that the larger plot of Animorphs can be read as an interpretation of the Odyssey/Iliad. I've obviously spent far too much time in literature classes. :)
