Assalamu Alaikum!
So, it's been a while since I have updated. Alhamdulillah, so many great things have happened in that time.
First things first.
--MSA National East Zone Canada Conference in Ottawa March 4-5--
I have to say, I've been to the Reviving the Islamic Spirit Conference and the ISNA conferences, but this had to have been the most amazing experience of my life. Titled, Reviving the Forgotten Sunnah, lecturers such as Ziuallah Khan and Mohammad Al-Shareef spoke about topics relevant to students, such as marriage, and how to adopt the sunnnah in your daily life. Subhan'Allah, I haven't so moved in a while. Jazak'Allah Khair to all the organizers and volunteers. Especially the girls from Ottawa U MSA! They knew how to show us a good time :D One of the most important things we had was networking meetings between university MSAs in our zone. Subhan'Allah, it was amazing.
I'm also a little busy with Islamic Awareness Week at our university. Our theme is "And Mohammed is his Messenger" with display booths about the Quran and our Beloved Rasul (SAW). My display is about the different prophets mentioned in the Quran, and I especially focused on disproving the comments that non-muslims have about some of them. I did Adam (AS), Nuh (AS), Isa (AS) and Musa (AS). Prophet Mohammad SAW, is going to have his own display, but of course :D I'm really excited because we actually have two speakers, and are showing a movie! yay! go QUMSA!
Lastly, I met this wonderful woman yesterday. She's only in the country until Wednesday, but the time I spent with her over the past two days has been priceless. She has instilled in me the ability to learn from Quran. Sometimes, you just read the arabic and the translation. But, she told me to look at it as a text book. When you read, have a notebook with you so that you can write down the ayahs pertaining to things such as the qualities of a pious person, or salat, or anything! This way, you're not only reading the Quran, you're absorbing the knowledge that lies between the pages. Subhan'Allah! I wish I wasn't in school so I could study Quran for a few months, and actually comprehend the beauty that we all take for granted sometimes. Ya Allah! Please grant her Jannah for teaching me something that I want to teach everyone I know! :D
That's it for me :D

This is a Duaa that insh'Allah will help you.
'Allahumma, Aothobika minal ajz wal kasl"
Oh Allah! I ask you to protect me from inability and laziness.
Don't all students need this duaa? Say it especially when you find waking up from Fajr is a bit difficult!
