2 Winners and a real loser ...
We are still borrowing stuff from the library on a regular basis. Two things I have really enjoyed of the last few offerings were the anime Black Cat and the manga series Tsubasa. I have plowed through 12 volumes of Tsubasa now. I really like the characters, the mix of story telling and humor and the refreshing twist on the classic hunt for the pieces of something (memory feathers in this case) across lots of different worlds. I am really drawn to the artwork as well. As for Black Cat it's like a blend of Lupin the 3rd, Cowboy Bebop and Noir. I love the characters, the humor, the action, the camaraderie and the story. It was a quick 24 episode watch!
As for complete and utter trash, you need look no further than the manga called Sgt. Frog. I know two year olds who would turn up their noses at this. It had the potential to be really funny or really bad. It choose poorly!
