20 Things I love and hate ...

Last summer around this time we spent almost 3 weeks touring parts of Europe. We saw Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, England and France. It was a great trip, but as with any vacation there was the good and the bad. I was feeling reflective today so here are a pair of lists that I came up with of 20 things I loved and hated on our trip.

It was our last night in York. We wanted to eat at this highly recommended restaurant but they were never open. So while we were waiting we passed by this one place whose doors were open and the most delicious food smells were wafting outside. So in we went. The dinner was really good. We had just decided to have dessert when I noticed smoke billowing out of the kitchen doors. I quickly told the waitress about it. Apparently the cook had step out back for a smoke and something on the stove had caught on fire. They put it out pretty quick. Apologized profusely and offered us free dessert and coffee. Was a pretty funny end to a long day of sight seeing and shopping. We had a lot of fun in York. I would love to go back again sometime!
