just felt like updating
i randomly decided to check all my friends who have/had blogs. most of them haven't updated their blogs since 2006. it's sad to say, but i update somewhat frequently compared to them. LOL. i went to KC this weekend for a family reunion. i realized that i haven't seen my cousins in like years and realize just how quickly time goes by. I finally got to meet my cousin Kim's husband and her 8 month-old daughter. i wasn't able to go to their wedding or to celebrate the birth of her baby because she lives in georgia and i just don't have the money or can get away from work during those times. her daughter is totally adorable too. wah, i may not see them again until i get married T_T
speaking of marriage, matt and i have decided to get married in spring of 2010. we wanna do it in april, but we'll see. why so far away? well, matt's sis is going to australia for a year this november (meaning she wouldn't be back until november 2009) and we really wanted her to come. also, it gives us time to save up for the wedding. considering my mom wants to invite like 300 people, it's going to cost an arm and a leg. matt really doesn't want a big wedding, but i've always dreamed about it, so he's ok with it (probably for my sake ^_^ ) everyone keeps telling me "don't do what your mom wants, do what you want!" but truthfully, i want a lot of things my mom wants. why does everyone think my mom is pressuring me into this? at least, that's what one of my sister-in-laws think. y'know, if i don't agree with something my mom wants, i'd just tell her. take moving out for example. obviously, my parents were against it. i put my foot down, told them my reasons, and just did it. *sigh* planning a big wedding will be exhausting, i know, but still, i really want it.
