Day 1: Hello Beast

When: Before I went to sleep yesterday, 6am, and 5-9:39pm
Where: My bed and desk
Hyunki is an interesting child. One of the many reasons the producers behind the successful show Hello Baby chose him. Now Hyunki wasn't very good at remembering names. So when he was presented to his 6 new appas, it was 5 names too many to learn. Hyunseung thought that nicknames would be a great idea. That is, until he got his own. Something about being called 'Umma' just didn't quite appeal to him.
"Hyunki, please explain why you call Hyunseung 'umma'," said a lady behind the camera in a sickeningly sweet voice.
"Because umma is pretty," said Hyunki as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. He looked to the side to see how the members of Beast would respond. Doojoon was absent because of Danbi filming. Kikwang also wasn't there because of Hot Brothers. Yoseob and Dongwoon huddled at the corner trying to hide their laughter. Junhyung was just leaning against the wall, looking like his usual bamf self. Hyunseung on the other hand was smiling at him. With the perceptive skills he has, Hyunki knew it was forced. When all the questions were over Hyunki ran to Junhyung and raised his hands to tell him he wanted to be carried.
"Jummie appa."
"Hm?"
"Why does Umma get mad when he gets called pretty?" Junyung placed the toddler on one of the chairs nearby and knelt down. He looked from side to side to make sure no one would be able to eavesdrop.
"Listen Hyunki, Hyunnie doesn't like getting called pretty because he thinks he's getting made fun of."
"But I'm not making fun Umma. He is pretty. Don't you think so?"
"Well, yes, I think Hyunnie is very pretty-"
"Then why don't you tell him?" Junhyung was getting uncomfortable. He looked around again because he was sure he was going to make one of the biggest mistakes of his life.
"You see Hyunki, Jummie likes Hyunnie a lot but-"
"Kwang-kwang appa likes Hyunnie umma too! You should tell Umma before he does! "
"I can't Hyunki. Jummie likes Hyunnie a whole lot but people will get mad at me. So I can't tell him."
"Then you can keep it secret. I promise I won't tell."
"I know you will, but I don't know if Hyunnie likes me back. I don't want him to be mad at me too. Capiche?"
"Capiche." he said with an enthusiastic nod.
"Hyunki where are you?" yelled Hyunseung from far away.
"I'm over here Umma!" Hyunki jumped from his seat and ran to Hyunseung. "Guess what Umma?" he said as he got picked up.
"What?"
"Jummie appa thinks you're pretty too!" Junhyung mentally facepalmed. He knew that kid was going to do that. He completely saw it coming, yet he was stupid enough to tell him anyways.
"Oh really?"
"Yeah!"
"What else did Jummie say?" Junhyung stood up and walked away. Even though the duo was leaving he thought it would be best to leave the room.

When the four of them reappeared (Yoseob and Dongwoon tagged along), Junhyung couldn't help but feel nervous. Did Hyunki tell everything? Or maybe he just tried to prove his point with the entire 'pretty' thing? Out of the blue the small child kissed him on the cheek.
"What was that for?"
"Umma told me to kiss you because he can't do it himself with all the cameras around."
"R-really?"
"Yup."
"Hyunki!"
"Coming Umma!" He ran away like the hyper kid he was and went to Hyunseung. He held a wet washcloth and wiped the dirt from the toddler's face and hands.
"I told you not to play in the mud."
"Sorry Umma," said Hyunki with an adorable pout. Hyunseung looked up and made eye contact with Junhyung. He couldn't help but smirk when Hyunseung quickly looked away with a pink tint on his cheeks.
"Go play with Yoseob and Woonie now."
"Okay." Hyunki ran away faster than normal.
Hyunseung stood up and watched as the cameramen struggled to follow the toddler. When they were all out of the room, Hyunseung sat next to Junhyung. He was about to turn his head and say 'Hi' in his usual awkward manner when the older male kissed him in the cheek. Almost exactly where Hyunki did. Hyunseung answered the question before Junhyung could even ask.
"Sorry. I had to do it myself. Kissing you through Hyunki just wasn't enough."
So telling Hyunki wasn't such a bad idea after all.
